Villa Maria, one of Victoria’s largest aged care and disability service organisations, has been directly caring for the Casey community since 1997. Villa Maria Berwick, located in Avebury Drive, is proud to offer a caring environment for residents and families of the area.
WHAT DOES VILLA MARIA BERWICK OFFER?
Villa Maria Berwick offers permanent nursing home care, offering 60 high level beds, including eight double rooms of sixteen beds. Berwick provides both mainstream and dementia accommodation.
Berwick is a modern home-like residence and comprises four interconnecting homes. Each home is self sufficient with a kitchen, lounge, dining room and laundry. All bedrooms are fully furnished and are of a generous size with full ensuite facilities.
A series of secure landscaped interconnecting courtyards provides Berwick with a most pleasing external environment for all residents. In particular, the newly established dementia-specific garden offers residents a great sensory experience including growing their own vegetables for dinner!
Berwick is also very activities-focussed with a dedicated Activities Team always developing new programs for the residents. Most recently the residents were visited by a reptile farm and also enjoyed a very green St Patrick’s Day!
The Berwick Day Club, a community-based program for older adults, is also located on site. This program offers respite for working carers from 7am until 7pm, seven days a week. Berwick Day Club can provide activities for people with dementia as well as older people who would like to be involved in organised activities while their carer is at work.
